This really depends on how much time you are able to dedicate to improving your Portuguese skills. I would say as a rule that it should take you around 7 months to go up a level if you are studying and using the language quite intensively. For some, this may be quicker and for others, it may be a bit slower.
All of our lessons are student-centred so we will help you identify what you need to improve and guide you through the process of developing your Portuguese language skills.
The key difference between Portuguese Anywhere and an offline school is that we fit your busy schedule: you can take a class anytime and from anywhere. But otherwise, you can think of us as a traditional school that has moved online. Our teachers are native speakers, certified and follow a learning plan that has been designed by language experts.
There are several different materials that we use, like worksheets, books, and presentations. These are just a few tools that we use but we always aim to mix things up a bit and use good-quality material. All the material used in class is already included. You don't have to pay extra.
Homework is not essential but it will definitely help you improve and the results will be noticeable if you do some exercises regularly. The teacher will give you a homework assignment after each class and it is up to you to decide whether you want to complete the exercises.
For the VIP lesson, definitely not. You can schedule classes that perfectly fit your busy — and sometimes variable — schedule. One day you could take a class at 7 pm, another day at 10 am. This is one of the reasons our students prefer our online classes to traditional language schools, where you would have to commit to a recurring and set schedule. With us, you make your own schedule.
In terms of preparation, it can always be good to review what you did in your previous lesson and think about any questions you may have for your teacher. If the lesson is about a specific topic then it’s always a good idea to look up some new vocabulary and phrases you can use during the lesson.
You will receive a certificate on the last day of the course. You need 70% attendance to receive this certificate.
If you are unable to attend class, make sure you let your teacher know at least 24 hours before. Then, you can reschedule it for another day.
Unfortunately, if you miss a lesson, it cannot be compensated.
Yes, you can talk to the teacher after class or ask them questions via email or WhatsApp.
Your teacher will be constantly counseling you, based on your performance in class and through continuous assessments, to inform you about your strengths and areas of improvement.
